Old Growth Tree Walk - March 14th

FRIDAY MARCH 14 at 3:00 PM

This Friday, join Nathan Cornell of the Old Growth Tree Society for a guided walk in Cranston’s John L. Curran State Park at 3pm. You’ll experience a 100+ year old forest filled with a diversity of native tree species, including towering oaks and American Beech. Along the way, Nathan will explain old growth characteristics and tree species, as well as historic background about Rhode Island’s forest landscape. The walk starts in the parking area and goes along the Reservoir’s edge. The event is free. Sturdy shoes are recommended. In the event of heavy rain, it will be rescheduled. Due to on street parking, space is limited. Please RSVP to ncornell.ogts@gmail.com to reserve your spot. (And let us know if you’ll be carpooling!)
